The Val de Paix retreat house is aptly named: the woods and quiet pond surrounding it are an invitation to prayer.  Life in the house is marked by a rhythm of work, prayer and daily offices to which all are invited. The community’s call to serve Christian unity is given special attention.

 We hold a prayer group two times per month, Mondays at 7:30 p.m.   You are all invited! 

Each summer the community offers a Cana session for couples.  There is also a Cana retreat between Christmas and New Year’s. 

Other activities of spiritual renewal and Christian formation are offered, such as the Emmaus program and weekends for young people, 18-30 years. 

The house is also available for use by other Christian groups.

A Catholic, charismatic community with an ecumenical vocation whose members come from different churches (Catholic, Anglican, Reformed, Evangelical, Orthodox) .  Its aims are:

Through community life, to follow Christ in a concrete way which announces the Gospel to a hurting world and permits us to live a life of true sharing. 

Through shared communal prayer, to allow all those who knock on the door to experience a personal encounter with Christ. 

Through giving ourselves to the visible unity of the Body of Christ, to respond to the prayer of Jesus “Father, may they all be one so that the world might believe” (John 17).
